Safer Bars, Safer Parties

Join RCC’s team for an interactive workshop focused on building safer nightlife spaces on campus. Geared toward University of Wisconsin students, this session explores practical ways to recognize harmful behavior, interrupt harm, and support friends in bar, party, and nightlife settings.

Participants will learn how alcohol and social dynamics can impact consent, how to spot signs that someone may need help, and simple bystander strategies for stepping in safely. Through real-life scenarios and discussion, we’ll talk about ways students can help create a culture of respect, care, and accountability in UW’s social scene.

Whether you’re heading to house parties, campus events, or downtown bars, this workshop will equip you with tools to look out for yourself and your friends.
