Domestic and Sexual Violence Coordinated Community Response Team Meet & Greet

The Dane County Domestic and Sexual Violence Coordinated Community Response Team (DSVCCR) brings together survivors, advocates, service providers, and community members to strengthen policies, improve services, and build a more coordinated response to domestic and sexual violence. The DSVCCR serves as an advisory group to the Dane County Commission on Sensitive Crimes.

Whether you are passionate about survivor advocacy, community safety, prevention, or systems change, your voice and perspective are valuable.

To learn more, the DSVCCR invites you to join them for a casual meet-and-greet:

Thursday, June 4th
12:00–1:00 PM
RCC Office
960 Rise Lane
Madison, WI 53714

This will be a chance to connect with current members, ask questions, and learn more about how you can help support survivors through community collaboration and advocacy.

This casual, low-pressure space is a chance to unwind, meet campus advocates, and have conversations about building a supportive community at UW. Safer Bars, Safer Parties

Join RCC’s team for an interactive workshop focused on building safer nightlife spaces on campus. Geared toward University of Wisconsin students, this session explores practical ways to recognize harmful behavior, interrupt harm, and support friends in bar, party, and nightlife settings.

Participants will learn how alcohol and social dynamics can impact consent, how to spot signs that someone may need help, and simple bystander strategies for stepping in safely. Through real-life scenarios and discussion, we’ll talk about ways students can help create a culture of respect, care, and accountability in UW’s social scene.

Whether you’re heading to house parties, campus events, or downtown bars, this workshop will equip you with tools to look out for yourself and your friends.
