Shavone Brown

Multicultural Victim Advocate (she/her)

I was born and raised in Madison, I have always had a passion for advocating and supporting people in my community. I believe that all are entitled to help with a nonjudgmental approach. I have a strong sense of empathy and compassion for those I work with, I have the ability to recognize problems and participate in team problem- solving when they should occur. I've had an extended amount of experience working with high risk youth and families in the greater Madison area. I’ve worked as a Special Education Assistant with the Madison Metropolitan School District and as a Child Family Advocate in the community. While upholding these roles I have provided advocacy, crisis management, rapport building and resource coordination. I have found this work to be extremely rewarding and plan to commit to continuing my education journey in the human service field.
