FTC Facts for Choosing a Residential Program

This brochure was developed by the federal government to help parents in making the important decision to place their child in a residential program. The partners of the Residential Care Consortium are all accredited and licensed within their respective states.
Private residential treatment programs for young people offer a range of services, including drug and alcohol treatment, confidence building, military-style discipline, and psychological counseling for a variety of addiction, behavioral, and emotional problems. Many of these programs are intended to provide a less-restrictive alternative to incarceration or hospitalization, or an intervention for a troubled young person.
Experience, coupled with the ability to change and grow, are but two reasons why the partners of the Consortium, having successfully met the needs of children for hundreds of years, will also succeed in extending the same quality of care and service to their families.
