The Residential Care Consortium

The Consortium works to assist to advance the interests of underprivileged, at-risk, and disadvantaged children, young adults, and their families. To fulfill this mission, the Consortium is dedicated to promoting residential care as a vital component of the youth care continuum through demonstration programs, outcome measurement and evaluation and dissemination of this work to the field of youth care.

Government Funding - Use it Well

The federal government has made many more dollars available to non-profit organizations in the last few years through both the earmarking process and competitive grants. Leadership has to determine what the organization wants to accomplish (its mission) and how it is going to concentrate its efforts to that end (competencies); then, it has to have the discipline to seek and accept government funding aligned with both.

Experience, coupled with the ability to change and grow, are but two reasons why the partners of the Consortium, having successfully met the needs of children for hundreds of years, will also succeed in extending the same quality of care and service to their families.
