The Residential Care Consortium

The Consortium works to assist to advance the interests of underprivileged, at-risk, and disadvantaged children, young adults, and their families. To fulfill this mission, the Consortium is dedicated to promoting residential care as a vital component of the youth care continuum through demonstration programs, outcome measurement and evaluation and dissemination of this work to the field of youth care.

Although various policy reviews at the state and federal levels have raised important questions about how to support children and fami­lies, residential programs continue to be critical to a continuum of care, achieving safety, well-being, and permanency goals with a strong focus on family reunification.

Experience, coupled with the ability to change and grow, are but two reasons why the partners of the Consortium, having successfully met the needs of children for hundreds of years, will also succeed in extending the same quality of care and service to their families.
